iPhone 6 reviews: bigger and better

I've taken the morning to read some reviews. Impressive stuff...

Will wait to see what the new iPad's have lined up to see if I get both iPhone's this time around.

Aren't the iPad events usually the third week in October?

No, I don't find it too big but I keep trying to use the Mini as if it has Touch ID. I've become so accustomed to it that not having it on the iPad is deal breaker.

Should Apple decide that the iPad gets Touch ID then I'll just get the iPad and skip the 6 Plus if not then I'll just get the 6 Plus as my media consumption device.

Yeah what he's saying is that TouchID is so crucial that it breaks the iPad Mini for him, so he'd get the 6+ instead of the Mini and use the 6 as a phone. It also seems faintly ludicrous to me but he's obviously got swimming pools of cash so who am I to judge?

Yes. I thought I've made that clear.

I don't use my iPhone 5S/daily driver for any sort of media consumption. I use it as a phone with only my most used apps.

Right now I use the iPad for everything else. It gets well and truly used. I think the 6+ could serve as a replacement dependent on what the new iPad's offer.
 
Why doesn't the iPad Mini have Touch ID?

The retina Mini came out not long after the 5s was introduced, and supply was quite constrained on the TouchIDs at that point as they were so new. I think that's the main reason - and they had made quite a large upgrade to the iPads already with the Air and Retina models so I reckon they felt like they could do without it.

Only issue with TouchID on an iPad is, I use my smart cover to turn it on and off mostly. TouchID would get in the way of that.

But the difference is so... small.

I don't use covers on any of my devices.
