My podcast stops playing after a while, then I have to wake up my screen then it starts again. I have an fm transmitter to listen to it in the car, and don't really want to fiddle with it to get it to play when I am driving.

What podcast app is it? Do you have background app refresh enabled for it?

Why a mini ?

I think the iPhone 6 is a decent size. The other iPhones look like kiddy toys

I'm also quite happy with the size of the 5s. It took me maybe a week or two to get used to it from the G2 but my hands love the feeling of holding it. It's obviously dwarfed by most Android phones and I do often find myself wishing for more screen space to read on but on the other hand it's so comfortable to hold and walk-read (plus the outdoors visibility demolishes the G2) that my reading quantities have gone way up. I'm in the recidivist camp with PP.

I am also happy with the size of the 5s. A problem is that there is no real alternative in Android. The Z3 Compact is nearly as large as the iPhone 6 and phones like the Galaxy S3 mini are low in specs. So people that love small phones may be forced to accept a larger phone.

Got me one of these newfangled iPhone 6s, after 3 very happy years with an S3. Only question right now is - is the home button supposed to feel so, well, odd? I never know if I've pressed it half the time. I'll kinda push, nothing happens, then push harder and it works, are they all like that?

Hmm you should know very obviously if you have pressed it or not.

Best to compare with another to make sure yours isn't faulty.

I don't have an iPhone 6 for reference but the iPhone 5S has a very definite click and I remember it actually being quite annoying when I first got it.

Yeah actually taking it in this weekend, not convinced this is how it should be. Tried a few others and there's a definite feel to the button. With mine it's way too vague. Sigh.

I actually jailbroke and am currently using Activator shortcuts to bypass having to press the Home button altogether. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but if I can just tap on the TouchID to do the same thing it seems better to me.

Well good and bad news.
The bad news was the button was messed up - not completely, I mean it still worked but wasn't as it should be. So was offered a new phone. New one seems 100%.

+1. Brand new 6+ is a win all around I think.

Apologies, just the 6. And the replaced one was only a week old. But yeah, very happy with how it was deal with.

New one working great, just cant use it for another month due to the timing of the upgrade.

A supermarket here in Oman is offering the iPhone 6 for about R7900 as a valentines day special. Seriously tempted but there's only an offer on the 16gb type and I'd need a 64gb at least.

Hi Spizz, you live in Oman or just visiting?

Hey bud, I'm working in Musandam province for a while. Been here a week and could be anywhere between 3 months and 2 years to go. Nice place, nice people. Are you working?

Yes, I'm working.
I live in Muscat now since August last year. Nice place, just very busy. And the heat is busy coming back.

Are any of you using screen protectors ? If so which ones. I bought a tempered glass protector and it doesn't cover the whole screen and is quite thick, I know the edges are curved so it can't go to the edges of the phone but is it normal to have not cover all the LCD?
