iPhone 6s bending in back pockets

It's quite disingenuous to say that software is a constantly moving variable. Hardware is also a moving variable with each new phone. Phone cameras are nothing but constantly moving variables.
You misconstrue. All I mean is that on the same hardware, software can change, affecting final pic quality. It is quite possible (and common) for identical camera hardware to produce very different snaps - it all depends on the software once the silicon retina has done its job. A software upgrade on the same hardware can produce different cam results. Much much harder to upgrade the cam hw. That's all. Nothing disingenuous. Just obvious.

Yes but the software frequently allows for features that are competitive and set them apart. Nokia's 43mp downsampling is a good example, and HTC's dual camera depth of field, and Apple's slo-mo and timelapse.

One does not have to be a genius to understand the dangers in construing a few forum posts as fact, no matter the topic.

Yours and others' contentedness with the purported bend (sic) truth is obvious. It's the lack of analytics behind the so-called truth which paints a bigger picture.

Manufacturing facts from whims is expected.

All I read is BAAH, BAAAAHH BAAAAHH, BAAAHHH.
Sorry, I have my iSheep censor switched on.

Yoh, that article is mighty biased and the author is in a relationship with Samsung. He even excludes mentioning that the iPhone 6 was also tested in the last video and that the HTC One M8 did the worst. His conclusion with his initial review on the iPhone 6 was also questionable, as the iPhone 6 is outscoring in the camera (only beaten by the 1520), benchmarks and battery department.

The only real issue here is with the iPhone 6 Plus (phablet) which will be in competition with the upcoming Samsung Note 4. On this issue we need a statement made by Apple on how they will answer to this problem. I can guarantee that Samsung is now reviewing their Note 4 build quality.

Bendgate? Really... we are calling it that?

Enemy? We are talking about consumer electronics. It is desperately sad.

As sad as people blindly defending anything with a Apple logo on even though there is proof that said products aren't perfect?

Battlefield? What exactly are you hoping to have won when the dust has settled?

Funny how so often android users adopt choice as their mantra but only as long as that choice is android…
Just building on the quoted Android 'army' metaphor, with the hope of bringing apple users and their false sense of superiority a notch down. Butthurt much?

False sense of superiority... Seems you're the one with insecurity issues or an inferiority complex .

I can readily admit that I won't be purchasing an iPhone 6 Plus due to the bending issue as I flat out refuse to pay top dollar for something with a propensity to bend under normal use. I cannot and will not defend this phenomenon with lines such as; "nothing is infinitely rigid and aluminium will bend when put under pressure" because that's just stupid.

This thread, however, is full of naysayers and as you so eloquently put it "butthurt" individuals whom refuse to give Apple credit for what they actually did get right with these phones. Instead we get posts which are supposed to bring us down a notch.

I must say I was actually considering the 6+ as I've been on Android for the last 4years. But looks like it Z3 for me.

The normal 6 doesn't have the bend issue though. So I guess I could always go smaller, but then there's the Z3 compact.

Decisions, decisions.

Fandroids can also be reasonable. The Iphone 6 has the best camera of all the mobiles out there at the moment. There I said it. Credit where it is due. It pains me to admit it. But it seems to be the truth based on many online reviews and comparisons.

But this thread was started to discuss Apple's design gremlins with the Iphone 6. And just that. And the Fandroids are piling on the critism whilst some iSheep on here prefer to be in denial. My 2c.

Hehe.

Look, I think the non-Apple crowd (I'm one of them) are having some light fun at the expense of the Apple and especially their fanbois. When all is said an done, they make amazing phones, and the 6/6+ are great devices by all accounts. The bending thingie is a non-issue for the vast majority of us. My own device is even larger than the 6+, and I certainly wouldn't bend and squeeze it light some videos are showing.

If I were in the Apple ecosystem and was looking to a new phone, the 6+ would be a great choice. Bending and all. No decision dilemma. Other than the ridiculous price of course. ;)

Bendy phones, buggy new OS... Android manufacturers would have been crucified if this happened to them.

Rough start for Apple, but suppose it's always the case when you are going all-new with your device release.

I will definitely consider the iPhone 6 over the iPhone 6 plus after this issue has been brought to light.

It's only really the 6+ that's really bad. The normal 6 should be ok.

Yeah that's the problem I was looking at the plus specifically hence mentioning the note 4,I'm currently using a 5s and s5 so was looking at changing up a bit since I enjoyed the note 3 screen size when I had it.

They are worse than atheists.
Amen.:D

Unless strong, rounded man boobs.

Lol classic.

Well hope they fix it before they send em here!Otherwise this will definitely tip the odds towards Samsung for me,wouldn't want my strong, rounded man boobs bending the 6 plus.

What makes you think Samsung is reviewing the note 4 quality, they've had no such issues with the note 3 etc so their constructions are just fine in this size phone, the aluminium spine/chassis that has been added will just make them stronger if anything.

Coming from the s5 and 5s I just somehow feel the 6 is going to be too small for me,I need a minimum of 5,0 inches screen real estate on my phones.

The battery life of the iPhone 6 is very similar to the 5S, so the 6 Plus might have been the better choice there.

The Note 4 is actually launching tomorrow in it's home country. There is also the Note Edge and Alpha. Ultimately the same bend tests as they did to the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus, iPhone 5S, Note 3, Moto X, One M8 and Lumia 1020 needs to be applied to the Note 3 in order to support your opinion on the aluminium spine/chassis making the Note 4 stronger than the Note 3.
