Would you still recommend the switch from Android to iOS?

I suppose that depends on your reason for switching?

I wanted to try something new which has been fun, especially seeing that the walled garden is not as perfect as people on here will tell you with bugs / occasional lag and of course you absolutely have to do things the Apple way or no way which is a pain (try download a ringtone for instance) I am missing Android yes but I am happy enough with the iPhone 6s for now. I like switching it up so perhaps it is Windows phone next (if all of my essential apps are there - they still aren't)

I'm switching for regular updates and great support. If I could get a nexus on contract I would go for that but since that's not an option this is my best bet. I will miss Android but I'm willing to give the iPhone a try. If I feel that I can't live with ios, I can sell the phone.

Is it not possible to share a photo directly to instagram from camera roll?

iOS sharing has been the biggest struggle for me since coming from Android, but I'm used to it by now...

Coming from Android I tried to get used to the default keyboard. But I had to give in and the switch to Swiftkey was like a breath of fresh air. The keyboard is a breeze now.

I've been using SwiftKey on Android for years so hopefully it's the same and not some hacked version.

It's a bit different, but there's enough there to make it a nice smooth transition from the Android Swiftkey.

I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but:

Has anyone upgraded from the iPhone 6 to the 6s Plus? I'm considering grabbing the iPhone 6s Plus, but the size is a concern, I don't know anyone with the 6s Plus, so I can't really compare, but apparently they are huge, a little too big. Can anyone confirm if the jump in size is more of a burden than anything else?

I've been pondering the same and took a colleague's 6 plus and walked around with it in both my jeans and formal pants while in the office. It's too big for me as it hardly fit in my pants and I'm 1.8m tall.

I considered the Plus version this year as well, I also gave one a try and found it too big for my pockets. If you carry a bag or wear a suit with a big internal pocket in the suit jacket it would be a good phone, if you carry your phone in a pants pocket it isn't comfortable, the normal 6s is far more practical.

Thanks guys. Definitely not for me then, I'll still with the normal sized one. I don't wear baggy pants with large pockets, so that's definitely not going to work then.

As already stated, the plus is significantly bigger than the stock model. Not everyone's cup of tea. I got both at launch (6/6+) and after about 3 hours playing on each I settled on the 6 and haven't regretted my decision at all.

I know quite a few ladies who have the + and they quite enjoy it which I find surprising. My sister has one and loves it. She's a klutz though, and has cracked the screen twice in the 5 months she's had it. It's a BIG target. Anyone under 1.90m shouldn't even consider the + IMHO.

Yip, 4.7" is the sweet spot...

Congrats! Hold thumbs for jailbreak soon.

Yeah, I'm very disappointed! Stock iOS really doesn't appeal to me. I'm continuing to use my 6 as my default device until jailbreak. Not likely to be soon either. I'm thinking they'll wait for 9.2 before releasing a jailbreak and that's assuming they have the exploits to do it...

Played around on the s and its clear this thing is a beast! Jailbreaking is required to remove the governor on this thing though... Speed intensifier is going to rock on this baby!!

I couldn't agree more. I wear slim fit formal pants to work (without a jacket) so it's not suited for me.

You in for a treat me thinks!!

Which glass protector did you settle on?

QDOS green one.

Got it aligned perfectly, but I had to reapply. Reapplying gained two tiny hairs on the edge of the right side. Not a biggie though, not enough to irk my OCD.

Reckon I'll start from fresh instead of importing from my 5s. Contacts are on iCloud.

Looks awesome in white/silver with the saddle brown leather Apple cover!

Good stuff!

I got a bodyglove screen protector for my 6 about 4 months ago. Applied it perfectly but it was defective. Had strange, perfectly linear smudges on it, only visible at certain angles. Irritated me enough to remove it. Put it in a box for returning and my SO tossed it out thinking it was garbage. R170 garbage...

Been toying with the idea of getting replacements.

The whole time the rep I was dealing with at Cell C was telling me no silver/white, they sending me Rose Gold. Well, they delivered silver/white....

iPhone 6 covers fit. Got my Cygnett workmate on the 6 and Switcheasy Tones on 6s...

Awesome man, I guess you're quite happy to have received a silver one?

The QDOS one was R290... The imperfection is minor so I'm not going to splash out on another one for now.

Something I did notice is that, to me, it seems best to align the protector slightly to the left, because then you won't feel the gap between the cover/phone and protector when swiping back with one's thumb (which is mainly done from the left side towards the right).
