Writing this on my new 6S...

Stuffed up my Takealot order, and accidentally ordered a cover for the 6S+... Cover arrived yesterday - phone today.

Must be honest, had a long look at the + cover, and wondered whether I should've gone with the S+ rather.

Phoned Vodacom, confirmed I could still return it, and then re-apply for the upgrade in 2 weeks time - which is how long the cancellation process takes...

Didn't actually feel like going through all that waiting again. Have made peace with my choice already - typing is way better in this, and I'd have to drop from a 128gb to a 64gb were I to jump up sizes... Given that I only have about 5gb free space now, think I'll keep things as they are...

Getting the new cover tomorrow - this is a good-looking phone, pity about the cover, but so be it - cannot risk it staying naked!

Oh - and loving the force touch. Cursor mover is a game-changer!!

Congrats!! It's a decent upgrade, 5s to 6s!! Enjoy!!!

What cover did you get?

Thanks!

Went for this one - includes a screen protector, which is useful. Inexpensive, and decent reviews in Amazon. The one I wanted was sold out (currently have the 5S version - very rugged, served me well), but need something now. Figured I'd spend a bit more on something protective when I can actually get hands on it in an actual store. This will do until then!

Edit:

Feedback on new cover: Very slim, and adequate protection, but the smooth plastic back is quite slipperly. Will no doubt change it in the months ahead for something a bit more robust, and less slippery - bit nervous about 'drop' potential. That said - for those who want something that doesn't add much bulk at all to the phone, the above is pretty decent for the price. Includes a screen protector as well, which is nice.

Ja - I've lost some in the transfer, but maybe things are still loading in the background. Haven't nuked the 5S yet, so will have a looksie to confirm.

Have about 74gb free now, so will be able to put *all* my music on (for the 1st time on a phone), and still have about 15gb to spare, which will be great!

3D Touch is fun - been playing around with it. Guess the peek/pop will only work in Apple Mail currently - need to check that. Will be in court most of the morning/day tomorrow, so will also get to test the battery properly.

Edit: Cool. Airmail/Spark support peek/pop.

Tapatalk has a nice peek and pop feature where you can look at the photos while browsing the thread headers. I use it a lot mostly because it's so flippen cool to use

^ So testing out Tapatalk here. No 3D Touch home screen shortcut...just a Peek & Pop move?

What do you guys prefer overall MyBB (based on Tapatalk) or Tapatalk?

I've never used the myBB app. Been using Tapatalk for many years now both on Android and iOS.

But yeah, a peek and pop icon shortcut to your most used forums would be nice. I'd imagine it's coming at some stage if they have already implemented some feature in app already.

Tbh, first time I saw the MyBB app was on your home screen shot. Never tried it, probably won't either. I'm on several forums - Tapatalk has its annoyances occasionally, but still worth it due to its centralising of all those forums.

MyBb App much better than Tapatalk. Nice and basic. Though it does have some issues, like missing posts at times.

Tapatalk went a bit funny a year or two again when they messed with the design too much, but it's back on top now I reckon. The peek and pop while browsing headers is great.

Thanks guys; giving it a proper test now.

I'm liking this mode

I just wish the size of the fonts could be more smaller i.e. See more on screen. Not a deal breaker though

Thanks, I'll check it out. Finally gave up and deleted it about 2 months ago.

Yes I recall you were cheesed off by them.

I tried the App a few years back but had some login issue & just left it & persisted with the MyBB App.

Seeing as the MyBB App has not been updated in a fair bit it makes sense to check out Tapatalk.

Can someone tell me what the $0.99c is for?

I see no ads at all...

The adds are inline, at least they are my side - quite surreptitious, popped inside threads along with replies etc, almost to look like ordinary forum replies... As they're not that invasive, I've never bothered....

That all said - I *might* have bought the Pro version ages ago - I vaguely remember something along those lines, so not sure if mine looks the same as yours...

I might give Tapatalk another try, I didn't really get on with it when I last used it about 2 years ago.

I bought an Apple battery case for my wife. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice it feels in hand :erm:

I said the same in December, I would buy one if I needed the extra battery life.
