Wow... why can't these animations be disabled in low power mode? feels super quick.
On a slightly unrelated note - selling my 5s, so removed the screen protector... WOW! It's like I'm looking at a new phone!
So just a comment about replacing those a bit more regularly - you don't really notice how badly faded it becomes, until you see the naked screen underneath again!

And how to I get my animations back now?
My iphone now feels so sluggish with the animations restored, adding this extra fluff seems so unnecessary. More feature creep that makes me miss the simpler iOS 6 days.
