What are the most resource intensive tasks we perform on our phones? Gaming most likely? Like Real Racing 3? Hd video streaming using air video hd or av player or vlc? Some slow motion video capture at 240fps? Either way I don't think the modern smartphone is very taxed by our day to day usage?

I'd go 6s. The s line up are historically significantly better than their predecessors. So 6s-7s-8s would be the preferable upgrade trajectory.

Lol.

And the next gen iPhone is always better than the S model it replaced.

It's called progress. The S phones are only special to those locked in 2 year upgrades that can't afford a new one every year.

The non s derivative are usually newly designed and modeled with upgraded and/or completely new camera optics with upgraded and/or completely new cpu/gpu chips with upgraded and/or completely new chassis. Often some unforeseen manufacturing defect in the non s derivative is remedied in s derivative. Not always but often.

Think antenna gate with the iPhone 4, severe bezel scuffing on the iPhone 5, poor performance in drop testing with the iPhone 6/6 plus.

Not everyone gets a new iPhone every year. For the most part it isn't necessary but personally I've always found the s derivative to be a lot more satisfying.

Why do you have such a hard on about the price of iPhones?

I don't, I get a new model when it comes out for most devices.

These are just phones there is nothing special about them.

I never said there was. And no one seems to think so either except you. Saying that people with iPhones are living beyond their means or trying to impress people seems to be your sole purpose on the forum.

We get it. You have lots of cash and you prefer Android. Great stuff, now jog on.

Don't be butt hurt.

And if you seriously think I prefer one OS over another you should read my posts in the other thread. But since you try to twist my posts into something they are not, it probably doesn't matter in any case.

Beta 7 running really smooth here , what are the chances of the mic getting damaged when you are regularly in a very loud environment as Hey Siri keeps the mic on 24/7

I think I'm going to wait for official 9.3, not long now.
As for hey Siri, I'm on a construction site, always load noises, and haven't had any issue so far. Actually people always compliment the sound quality from my end.

Wtf do I have to be butt hurt over? You're the one that sounds like he's trying to convince everyone he's loaded and because you don't pick an iPhone it doesn't mean you're not.

You're just feeding him there, the more you say the more he will argue, everything iPhone and iOS has a problem according to some, you know?

I upgraded now from the 6s to the 6s+. It cost me r100. Love it. Best phone I have ever used. I have to say it feels like the 6s is a much larger performance jump than 5s to 6. I'd be surprised if they can pull this off again. The phone just never slow down for any reason.

Not impressed TomTom

Back in the day TomTom rocked now the App is meh compared to Google Maps & HERE Maps.

UI is not user friendly. App says I'm in Jozi; can't even pick up I'm in in CT.

Thankful I decided on a tempered glass cover! Dropped my phone this morning face first on the wooden floor :crying:. Cover took all the damage though. Damn son

The 6s is a beast, i dont expect much of a slow down with IOS 10.

Yeah it's a beast. It motors through everything thrown at it quite easily and should be good for a fair number of iOS iterations.

Anyway, I'm one of those guys that upgrades to the new iPhone every year. I love my iPhones...
