Went yesterday and no technicians on Saturdays to do the assessment so I was told to come back Tuesday. I'm told the process will be as follows:
Assessment - takes 2hrs
If they find fault they will issue a swap out note provided no water damage is found etc etc
I'll have to then find an MTN store that has stock to issue the swap out
The above applies to devices that are inside of 6months old, if outside of 6months you get a refurbed unit.

Where exactly did you go to, within 6 months they replace your unit with a brand new phone?

To all heavy email users. Anyone tried airmail yet? After reading a few reviews I bit the bullet and bought it. OMG, this app is amazing. I can't believe how refreshing it is compared to the build in app. It comes with a lot of power user features. Absolutely loving it.

So yeah 71 Ront to 100 Ront is a lot in my book considering there are a number of free HQ Mail Apps if you don't dig the default client.

I find it faster than outlook. I preferred outlook over the native app, however the 2 month search history limitation was a problem for me. It boosts most outlook features and a lot more. Also outlook doesn't support html signatures. And while outlook has a filter to sort by attachments and unread, in Airmail it's easier accessible and the "today" is awesome. View image below. Also having colors for the accounts is amazing when using the combined inbox. Makes life easy.

Another nice feature in airmail is the source code option. Yes, you can actually view the source of an email. I work with mails and being able to view headers is first class for me.

It is by far the smoothest mail app I have used thus far. I am actually enjoying mails again on my phone, best R75 I've spent on a mail app.

You can also try spark. It's not bad, but the combined inbox annoyed me and the font was too big and no setting to decrease it.

Yup, seems if they agree there is an issue they retain the phone (I have to return box and accessories as well) and issue some sort of voucher to redeem for a brand new device at any mtn brand store. Outside of 6 months you get a CPO device with no packaging. I'll report back tomorrow on how it goes.

As a side note, seems there are quite a few people that got dud Taptic engines which sound like they're loose when vibrating. Depending on the angle I'm holding the phone it gets worse or better. Never been dropped and I've only just picked it up 3months in so not sure what the cause is.

Forgot to let you know yesterday - assessment took 40min, replacement was approved and I was issued a collection number. Handed in collection number and proof of purchase at MTN mall of Africa and walked out with a new phone. Surprising to say the least.
