Good day everyone,

My dad recently swopped a set of wheels he had lying around for an iPhone 7.

I noticed that the phone is still set up with the previous owners profile, so I figured that I'll just factory reset it. I then realized that you need to log in with the previous owner's password to reset it, but now this guy is M.I.A. You would think that he stole it but the account email it's set up with is his name. So I don't know what the guys deal is but anyways, being an android guy myself, I thought that you can probably just reset it with some fancy software and a USB cable. I proceeded to download a piece of software to try and unlock it and it failed, restarted the phone and now I'm stuck with an iPhone locked to owner screen on startup. At this point I'm sick and tired of this phone and its issues. I would like to find out if anybody knows how to get this thing wiped clean, or knows someone that can do it for me for a fee, so that I can just get this thing working again and give it back to my dad on Sunday?

Can't do it without the previous owners assistance.

He can do it remotely if you can get in touch with him.

Owner needs to remove it from his Apple ID.

No other way to do it.

I actually feel quite sad that you thought you can pull an android stunt and just unlock it :notworthy:
