They're glass...Front and back.. And glass breaks when dropped haha

My girlfriend dropped her iPhone4 onto cement from above head height. She just had a bumper on it, and it still looks like new, not a mark. They are not as weak as some make it out to be. I guess it depends on

1. If it has any protection on it at all (even a bumper makes a big difference)
2. The angle that it hits the cement
