iPhone calling problems on Vodacom

South African iPhone users who have downloaded the latest update for Apple's iOS operating system - iOS 13 - are reporting serious issues when placing or receiving cellular calls.

The problem seems exclusive to Vodacom customers who are running any version of iOS 13.
 
Quite correct. Many calls made just do not ring. In Stanford yesterday and walked right under the tower after trying for 20 mins. Its an iPhone SE

Most of the time, heard a "toot-toot" then silence

And the person being called said she was not talking on her phone

Yeah., saw that..... :laugh:

This problem originally appeared in IOS 11, was then fixed and seem to have snuck back in again.

I thought I was the only one having this issue so frustrating and when I went to Vodacom they say its not their issue its a Apple issue but its only on Vodacom's network

Why did they just not advise you to disable the VoLTE function on your iPhone? I experienced the dropped calls and since I disabled it, I have no further issues.
 
So why is VoLTE working well for iPhone on MTN? The only thing it has is a weird busy tone when ringing but the call goes through. MTN did send a message notifying users that they were working on a fix for the busy tone like ring tone.

I am with MTN and my husband and I both are experiencing the same issues with a busy call tone on our Iphones. What is going on and what can we do to rectify the problem?
