Hey guys,

I sent in an Iphone 6 through Vodacom for repairs of the Mute Switch. Vodacom Repairs indicated the device was replaced. Now, do any of you know if the replaced device is brand new or just refurbished. i do understand it does not come with box and accessories.

Also important to note, it was sent a month back for first repair of the screen making a "Clicking" noise when pressing hard on it, as if its loose. Now, a month later, the mute switch didnt want to hold in position'(Also loose).

A month or 2 ago my sister took her Galaxy S6 edge in to Vodacom for battery issues, eventually they also said the phone was replaced and they replaced it with a refurbished S7 edge because they no longer had any S6 edge stock, hope this answers your question, seams Vodacom replace with refurbished phones which in my opinion is totally fair depending on the age of your original device.

Wow she's lucky, usually they always have other stock of same device.
Yes I do realise they replace with refurb phones, however, I've heard that Apple do not do refurb devices and hence issue a completely new device, without box and accessories.

Apple do refurbished devices, they even sell them outrite, you can go have a look on the myistore.co.za website and Takealot, if I remember they call them CPO devices, certified pre owned.
