Not really, he was not actually playing a shot. Rather defending a dangerous full toss.
Gough gave the decision. An umpire which was suspended before.

Does not matter where he was. Even if half way down the pitch, don't bowl something that might harm the batsman deliberately.

So you deliberately change the arrival trajectory of the ball, after it has left the bowlers hand, think again. And yes really.
The ball was bowled to where he was standing in his crease. If he had not CHOSEN to move down the crease, the ball would not have been that high.
He deliberately moved forward because he prefers higher balls, it misfires on him. Then he wants protection. SHAME on him

Getting tired of arguing. A high full toss is dangerous and should be treated as such.
Don't get me wrong... I do not really like Kohli , but I think he was right to be angry.
So let's move on.

They've never had good bowlers. Gayle and AB carried that team. Kohli with all his wonderful records doesn't have the x factor to take the game away in this format...
