IPv6 Roll Out

Hi there

I'm on openserve and would like to. Enable ipv6, but not sure what setting to. Select on router, gives me a bunch of options.

Thank you Screenshot_20220507_171011.jpg

Thank you, any other settings I would need to change or as simple as enabling it to DHCP?

Thanks for the quick response!

Should be as simple as enabling DHCP and then it should auto allocate the prefix.

Is it advisable to use IPv6 WAN now? There are certain websites I just cant access with it enabled. I am getting the 10/10 result from that one IPv6 test site. Google one also says it is fine.

Can someone on IPv6 please let me know if you can access the following,

https://ipv6-test.com/ - doesn't load at all, but loads fine when I am on IPv4 only. Note this is NOT the site that does the 10 tests, that one is test-ipv6.com (words reversed). There I do get the 10/10.

https://community.ui.com/ - blank screen and then after a while the following shows,
Error: Network error: Failed to fetch
Try again
Also works fine when on IPv4 only.

Only two examples I have found so far, would just like to know the reasons behind it.

Both work for me. I only figured out how to get ipv6 working yesterday on a UDM pro. Now I need to reconfigure my AdGuard to work properly again

Aaah yes I’ve completely forgotten I need to go fiddle with AdGuard still.

@AfriNatic any idea when Vumatel trenched customers will be able to use IPv6?

When hell freezes over.

ISPs need to start demanding that Vuma change the AE network to layer 2 like the GPON, then ISPs can do anything they wish without needing to be beholden to Vuma.

The IPv6 for prefix delegation is still being worked on by VX Fibre to make this available in the apps that control Vuma's Active Ethernet network.

As soon as it's available we will be one of the first to offer it. We have the subnets configure and ready to go.

So what fixed it for me is I had to change my IPv6 MSS clamping value. (Firewall settings).

IPv4 = 1452 (1492 layer 2 MTU - 20 byte IPv4 header - 20 byte TCP header) = maximum size of a TCP segment payload.

IPv6 = 1432 (1492 layer 2 MTU - 40 byte IPv6 header - 20 byte TCP header) = maximum size of a TCP segment payload.
