Well done,im sure he was a murderer hence the sentence,the public part is to scare off others from committing the same sin,its a simple thing...show the people what the punishment is,thereby preventing the crimes in the first place.

Its an inherent danger yes but the world is full of dangers and unfortunately we prefer to choose certain dangers over others....the danger of USA claiming weapons of mass destruction etc and killing millions of people should be ignored?Which is better?

As for hanging homo sexual people I honestly have no idea what the punishment is for that in islamic law so I cant comment on the video,suffice to say IF thats the law of the country then they should not have broken it.If they did not want to be muslim and wanted to be gay then a flight costs a couple grand which is better than your life.
Again I say IF as I dont know what the punishment is for homosexuality in IRAN,this may have even been mob justice in which case the saying goes when in rome do as the romans do.

Is there an original copy of their books?Maybe the laws were not as well rounded as the islamic ones?I honestly don't know why they did not keep there laws in their countries maybe they felt it was lacking?

You are sure the person being executed was a murderer? That's the issue, in a political dispensation like this you can't be sure. It could just as well have been a woman for wearing a skirt deemed to short, or someone who criticised the judiciary or someone who just happened to bother the president's sister.
You are sadly mistaken if you think theocracies are anything else than the same old political power game by individuals, in this case there just are very limited checks and balances - and carte blanche to brutally misuse a 2,000 year old text for personal gain, trampling any basic notions of human rights in the process.
I get it. You are a Muslim, and in your case it seems to fry your brain's ability to objectively evaluate anything that has to do with Islam, in this case Iran. Fortunately not all Muslims are like this.

Uhm, maybe because not every country expects every citizen to adhere to the same faith? So why would it be lacking?
