Is anyone else mining? I'm a noob.

I use Nicehash Miner to app, so it takes care of everything, but perhaps look at nanopool.org? I've mined Sia and Pascal with them before. They have a few other algorithms too.

What do you mean by "it takes care of everything"? I've had a look and I need to input my BTC address for it to start monitoring... it helps buggerall with the pool selection. Or I don't know what I'm doing (most likely outcome).

All you do is enter your BTC address, you can sign up with Luno.com for this.
 
also seem to be getting this. maybe i'm too weak :(

OK, so let's take one step back as far as Nicehash is concerned.

With NH, you don't mine coins discreetly, but rather "sell" your hashing power, and get rewarded for that. At now time do you hold any coins, so if your goal is to hold and invest in a specific coin, then this won't work for you. I should have asked this off the bat, sorry. If you just want to get some $$$, then this is the way to go.



Getting back to your Supernova account, I registered an account as well on their ZClassic pool, and when I log in, on the Dashboard, there are some statistics related to your mining activity.

Do you see anything in there?

Well, in this case, screw suprnova! :D

I've started my miner with stratum+tcp://scrypt.eu.nicehash.com:3333 and used the NHM wallet address as the username... seems to be doing something on the command line... i'll see if something shows up in my worker window on nicehash

Im using a 970 and mine never switches to daggerhash? Always Equihash. Should I force it to Daggerhash?

Did you benchmark Daggerhash? Ensure it's selected as an available algo. I'm sure the information on the NH website is just an indication, but see if you get a better $/day rate when forcing it to Daggerhash.

Yea just started a precise benchmark, will see if that changes anything.
