Did you try kicking it off without specifying an algo?
ok, let me see... if i set it to auto, it should try to do a benchmark first, right?

Not sure how the stand-alone miner handles it tbh.
Im using a 970 and mine never switches to daggerhash? Always Equihash. Should I force it to Daggerhash?
Only if you're on win7 and on a very specific driver version

and if you are on linux with a 970?
Slit your wrists?
I have no clue, Windows is easy and gets you really close to what you may make on Linux so I couldn't be bothered.
ah, thanks for the help... such a nice guy
I've honestly never touched Linux, so the amount of effort to get it going vs just using windows makes it a no brainer in my case
getting around 6.5MH/s![]()
Try equihash, perhaps daggerhash is also crippled in Linux on the 900 series unless you're on driver 348.xx I think
i can't get equi or dagger to work with ccminer.... doing x11 for now until i can figure it out.
so i've figured out that algo can be specified in the url, e.g. stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353
but, doesn't seem to work atm

Just started myself.. pity no one told me to do it sooner.using Nicehash
My GTX 970 on Win 10 can get almost 1.4mBTC/day but then my fans crank up every minute to stay below 200W / 65C.
So I use Nvidia Inspector to set the target power consumption to 70% on state P0.
Then I get about 1mBTC/day at 140W / 59C. (Although it seemed lower this morning)
Running in state P2 worked better but I can't force that any longer for some reason.
Doing some rough calcs, assuming 280W total usage max, it is costing $1 in electricity a day to get $2.5 (60% profit).
Edit - Equihash is far higher than other algo's.
