so i've figured out that algo can be specified in the url, e.g. stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353
but, doesn't seem to work atm

I started using nhm last week and checked my power usage nothing fancy just how many units I were using more than normally and its seems my power is going to eat most of my profits 
I read in the forum it doesn't use that much so dunno maybe Im missing something. R9 280x mining zec at around R35.00 a day (24h) 300 Sol/s. I do realise I only have 1 card and it is going to take a while but Im not going to mine 24 hours a day so its going to be a while to get roi for new card. So for me personally going to pass for now but enjoyed the learning exp. Will follow as I find its still very interesting and thank you for the feedback guys.

I've honestly never touched Linux, so the amount of effort to get it going vs just using windows makes it a no brainer in my case

Try equihash, perhaps daggerhash is also crippled in Linux on the 900 series unless you're on driver 348.xx I think

Just started myself.. pity no one told me to do it sooner. using Nicehash
My GTX 970 on Win 10 can get almost 1.4mBTC/day but then my fans crank up every minute to stay below 200W / 65C.
So I use Nvidia Inspector to set the target power consumption to 70% on state P0.
Then I get about 1mBTC/day at 140W / 59C. (Although it seemed lower this morning)
Running in state P2 worked better but I can't force that any longer for some reason.
Doing some rough calcs, assuming 280W total usage max, it is costing $1 in electricity a day to get $2.5 (60% profit).
Edit - Equihash is far higher than other algo's.

Anyone using the new NHM v2.0.0.7 (Alpha Version)???... It's an install that goes to %AppData%\Local\Programs\nhm2\ ... (weird location)
...but every time I launch it, it takes a very long time to start "Excavator Server"
