Just downloaded a couple of stuff from news.is.co.za and its still going. Wonder what will happen if other isp's start to offer free news servers with binary support heard in some other thread that ODS is negotiating with some usenet provider. Well until that and while my 30gb local only account still has some gigs left, news.is.co.za here I come!

What if i were to put in the myadsl classifieds a tutorial on how to get faster IS news server speeds and charge like R50 for it. Money back if there is not a speed increase?

Mine is also a bit slow, but I think its because the content is still not entirely cached. However this past week, IS has been extremely slow for me during the day from 8 o clock till 5 pm in the evenings, dont know about you guys ? In my book something is not right with IS...

All the Cached stuff only seems to be half cached, the rest is uncached.

What exactly are you downloading? Barring the cached files on newshost (porn and tv series..yay), the majority of stuff - whether 2 days old or 30 days old - is missing.
