I give up, started early this morning and only downloaded like 380mb.....

Have installed Route Sentry with my ADSL connection, use Grabit to download NZB's.
After 24 hours my connection is reset. It connects and grabit is then trying to reconnect to each and ever file, it goes through it over and over.
Then I first need to close grabit and reopen it.
How can I save myself the trouble??
ANY help would be appriciated!

It's been a particularly bad IS day; speeds have been up and down and GrabIt seems to be having problems downloading. Maybe it's got something to do with month-end?
I just had Grabit spike to 102kb/s on a 384 line for about 2 minutes !!?? How's that possible??
And yesterday it was at 50kb/s for almost an hour - that's normal speed for a 512 line
You don't think us 384-liners might get upped to 512 - now THAT would be cool!

The fact that I capped out my IS account for the month on the 20th from only using the news server ;(
Need bigger than 30gb cap IS account.

Ahh, the boundless optimism of youth.
(Just kidding, I have no idea how old you are and I'm not that old myself)Check your modem sync speed. If that says 512 you might be right (mine still says 384), but your sync speed is the upper limit for the data rate.
The faster rate could just be down to some more compressible data being downloaded at that time. That or a glitch. I wouldn't get excited basically.

I cant access www.newshost.co.za . Keep on getting 404 error. Started happening last week. Anyone else getting the same problem? Is there another search site for local news servers ie-- news.is.co.za?
