This thread is great - if I want to know the status of the IS server I just run my script that checks the delta in the number of posts.

Less than 2 posts per hour => server is working
More than 2 and less than 5 posts per hour => server is slow
More than 5 posts per hour => server is broken

lol - but that doesnt take into account the flood of yea it's working again posts.

Is it just me, or is anyone else also getting slow or slower speeds on cached content ? about an hour ago the news server was down, back up now though, but getting uncached speeds on cached content....

hehehe, yeah stonecold that has been happening for a LONG TIME to me... either IS doesnt cache properly anymore, or the people that upload those nzb's stating that they are cached are LYING i wonder which one is correct? hehehehe

Me too – even more frustrating is the fact that there is no feedback from IS / Openweb on this issue...
