How about only Super Grandmasters?how about making it that like only grandmasters can view certain threads.. then we won't have noobs all over the news server

Well I am a "noob", as you owner's and wanna-be sole users of the internet like to call me, who has been using the internet for well over 10 years now. So yes maybe I am a "noob" in your little clique but not on the net.
I have been reading these forums for probably about two years now and often snigger or even full on laugh at some of your attitudes. I can't believe some of you feel you are "entitled" to use the servers and others must not be told about it... in fact don't even dare to mention the word... mentioning it will get you "tarred and feathered", as I have seen suggested! Yes, I know it was said in jest but I bet you some of you would love to do that.
Like I have seen others mention in these ongoing arguments, you too were new to the internet once. How did you learn about everything? You stumbled upon it? Or perhaps you invented it, in which case of course you have sole rights to it? (Yes, that is meant to reek of sarcasm!)
Do you not realise that everything works on supply and demand? If this country was able to increase it's ADSL subscriber base substantially, lower pricing structures and improved products will follow. Do you really think people are going to rush from dial-up to ADSL so they can browse the iol.co.za site quicker? I know I for one made the switch because if downloads. Who wants to wait three months for a file to download? So the way to get people onto ADSL is to let them know what it offers. And love it or not downloads is one of the main attraction.
So what to do then? Advertising the servers reduces the speed for us, sorry, for you "masters" who are entitled to it! Not advertising it stunts the growth of the ADSL client base and it's added spinoffs for all of us in reduced costs. Well my solution would be for us to talk with our money. Downgrade those packages we're on. No longer buy a 30Gb local account. Why would you if you can't use it? If you only getting 10Gb let your money talk and don't pay for 30Gb. You guys always counter this argument with the fact that these amounts are peanuts. But a bunch of peanuts makes a bag!
But you think this will happen? I think not... we South Africans love to complain but are not always too keen to do something about it. Imagine if we all substantially downgraded our accounts for a few months. Do you not think that would wake IS up more than all this whingeing on here? A sort of ADSL mass action.
Anyway... it's taken a while for me to open my mouth but now that I have I've said wy too much, but I hope you get the point.
PS one final thing that peeves me... it is actually the bloody 4Mbps guys out there that are ruining it for us. Me and my 10 mates on 384k lines are not making as much of a dent as that one greedy bastard! And I bet they are the ones making the most noise!

Us bloody 4Mbps guys pay good bloody money for those bloody lines.
But we greedy bastards only get to download at the same speeds that you saints are downloading at. Isn't that wrong in some way?
