I've been receiving regular calls from a company called TCD Global about making an investment through their firm. I'm wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this company or heard of them as I am a little sceptical. I tried googling some of their employees on their about us page and it strikes me as odd that none of these people have linkedin accounts or really feature much in the results.

Their website: https://www.tcdglobal.com/

Looking into their WHOIS records, looks like the site has been around since 2013.

Seems a bit odd that wealth management companies would cold call people for managing their portfolio...
To add some context they said they got my details from a news24 survey I filled out a few months ago.

I am also receiving these calls. I cannot recall giving News24 permission for this, if I did, then it was not clearly stipulated. They are very persistent

They are indeed very persistent. I’m inclined to say something is suspicious about the company and its employees. It’s just strange to not have any presence online other than their own website.

I have had numerous conversations with tcd global. They talk the talk, however extensive research says they are a scam, despite their user login area and request for legitimate docs.

For a business that has been registered for 10 years online to have no social, no personell, no client testimonials and an extremely generic legal section on their website is a set of red flags.

I was at the point of investing, however have recognized this is an extremely well put together scam.

I also got a couple of calls from them... spread over about 2-3 months period.

They are very persistent. They claimed to have gotten my details from a news-24 survey as well (after a lot of probing). They were quite patronising at some point, using words as ' a man of your caliber should .... ', which speaks to shaming one into investing.
I also tried to play along a bit, asked for an email with their performance history etc, got no response, but the calls kept coming in- (From China, then UK).
The idea (At least from the long engagement) was that, they'll help you invest into 'stocks' that will break-out/moon-shoot in a short period of time and give you an opportunity to make it big. I managed to get a sample from the call agent and I've been tracking the stock for over a month- there has been no break-out. I must say, I'm quite glad I didn't divest from somewhere to put my money with them, even for trials.
They also came off as rude at some point- not willing to make appointments yet expecting my full attention when they called- just because they will help me 'make lots of money'...

Also tried their luck with me - Just straight up told them I dont believe in their advice and dont have money to invest with them. Still kept coming back for more.

Lots of red flags - also the "a man of your caliber" line etc
