Yes they were talking about black market THC. But even the flavors that are sold commercially have chemicals that have not been tested by any authorities because vaping does not fit into a food or medical category.

Which chemicals? I dont doubt however that black market flavors are made in a poor sterile environment. One thing i would suggest to people is to not buy vape juice from tobacconists as they usually have fake juice, also look for that little gorilla on the bottom of the bottle.

Been doing it for 2 years, never coughed once because of it unless it was a dry hit.

This doesn't mean anything though. I smoked cigarettes for 15 years and never coughed because of them. Doesn't make cigarettes safe.

Right, because insurance companies are great harbingers of knowledge and can be trusted due to their quantified and rock-solid scientific approach to reason and truth, especially in this case where they're sitting on mountains of long-term data and intricate analyses that us mere plebs are not privy to.

They're your friends, and they don't care about making money, they're there in your best interest.

They have a bunch of underwriters with some very clever propellerheads that spend their lives assessing risk and the calculation of premiums not from their opinion but interaction with industry and research. There's obviously concern for the health implications and they will always be cautious - the same as if you were into skydiving or diving.

During the last year I vaped zero nicotine flavourless glycerine, just to get out of the habit. The frequency quickly went from regular to occasional and after +- 1 year I simply felt no need for it anymore.

My perception of the effect on my health is that I experienced no ill effects from vaping compared to the clear harm one experiences with cigs.

I would say vaping is definitely safer than cigs, and probably also healthier than completely quitting if quitting leads to a 5kg+ weight gain.

I would encourage my kids to vape when they get to that experimental age. Hopefully it keeps them away from really harmful substances - like alcohol. (I'm a beer addict btw).
