Hai!
Since my connection went from a wonderfully syncing 8MB to an awful on/off/slow/logoff in middle of October the Telskum potheads feeding me bs stories about where the fault lies and what causes it and whatnot. Outdated overbooked DSLam, networking problems, all kind of ****. Techies say managers are sitting on the money, other techies say that those techies have no clue, and yet another techie told me just today there are no known problems with the DSLam at the exchange. I even received a phonecall from some chief customer complains officer a few weeks ago. He told me the techies are working day and night on upgrading their hardware. "You talking about the same hardware your techies claim they never received?", I asked him, only to hear some amused giggle on the other end. So everybody at Telkom seems to be very concerned with my case ... only nobody ever really did anything to help me.
So after logging thousands of faults with them, and even was told by some helpline woman "Don't call us anymore" I'm slowly running out of patience.
Today I stumbled over this site:
http://www.isat.co.za/Products/ADSL_Lines.aspx
I doubt they have their own infrastructure but maybe they have more power to finally get Telkom to do something?
Any of you gentlemen have any experience with iSat?
