That e-mail is a joke... Signal problem.. WTF Signal problem when speed test gives 1Mbit/sec I don't think so.
More denial from iBurst PTY LTD. If Neotel turns out better I'll be ditching iburst like a bad habit
In the previous email I stated that I have full signal and my http downloads run at 130kbs.
But still he thinks it’s my signal
Send him an email back asking him what signal your http runs on and what signal p2p runs on. Perhaps you need to buy a p2p antennae or point your antennae at a p2p tower.![]()
I would love to see the reply to that![]()
So very typical of SA isn't it?They like to make you happy, even when they are just plain lying
Thank you for contacting our Iburst helpdesk. My name is Lebohang and I will be handling your request.
With regards to your request of peer to peer, please find the information requested below.
iBurst shapes network traffic so that all applications and data types have a fair share of the available bandwidth based on the relative demand providing preference to protocols and applications which are interactive in nature, in order to optimize users’ online experience. P2P protocols are unfortunately extremely data hungry and without traffic management these applications would utilize an unfair proportion of the available network resources, which will affect the Internet access experience for the majority of subscribers. iBurst does not block P2P protocols. Access to these protocols is limited and mostly depends on the availability of files to be downloaded and the traffic at that particular time.
