iStore Warranty?

Hi there,

I bought my MacBook Air from iStore in Feb 2019, so still under warranty. I now have a flickering screen when watching videos in full screen (youtube & Netflix) I want to take the MacBook in to iStore but does anyone know the process? How long will my MacBook be gone, costs etc?
 
Should cost you nothing under warranty.

Otherwise it's a case of how long is a piece of string, only they will really be able to tell you.

Probably bargain on two weeks.

If it's only flickering in those apps/websites I would say that sounds like a software issue.
 
They will probably tell you, should be free under warranty.

Just be sure to document all other components working, friend they messed up his speakers and then said it was like that when they got it. Also back-up all data, if they say anything along the lines of GPU, CPU, RAM, SSD etc. you get a new mobo = wipe your drive/new drive as all parts replaced.

They'll give you a loan unit so relax :)
 
myistore... That was your first mistake.
Get someone to sign or agree (with witnesses or a recording) that only a specific part was broken or damaged.

They are going to molest your Mac, and likely your wallet.

Oh and PS, yes they will go through your history, files, online accounts, whatever, so don't leave anything logged in... Not that it matters, cause they'll just revert to base os anyway. So they'll have your details and you won't.

This makes it sound horrible! Like I should just learn to deal with the issue

Its Core Group, so it will take super long, won't be fixed properly and they'll find a way to steal something from you somehow.

oh, and like mine - you might send it in for 1 small thing and get it back with a smashed body and screen they claim you did...
 
Had them replace a motherboard for me then when I got it back the bottom was scratched so I made them go back to the photos when it was checked in an no marks also the screws were damaged by them made them also replace that. They did it all after providing proof from their photos

Just document everything
