IT Programmer and Engineer Required

Job Application for IT developer
Hi my name is Tim,

I recently came across your mybroadband job listing for the 'IT Programmer and Engineer' role. I am a hardworking, motivated individual with a passion for IT and engineering. I obtained my BSc in computing from UNISA in 2021 and learned a lot from that degree.

I think I bring a unique skill set to the table. I am a fast learner, hardworking, intelligent and can basically do everything that you listed in the job description. Please can you consider hiring me for this position as I am really keen to join your team and meet the smart people that make the magic happen!

Please see attached my resume.

I look forward to hearing from you bro.
Regards,
Tim

Could you kindly supply the salary range?
- 2-5 years xp
- OP is looking for a young gun with potential who knows how to toe the line (mature enough to not let your ambition for "a rewrite" get in the way of a great relationship)
- by the sound of it your ability to articulate yourself is going to be very important (ie. an shy nerd is not what he is looking for)

I imagine the budget is R25-R45k

Lmao, I doubt it.

The candidate is going to paid out in experience...

The glorious type of experience that can only be gained by doing work normally split into 5 different departments.

So I'm not being a dick here, but you are not going to get anybody for that.

I mean, it's not unimaginable.

R8k-R15k isn't an insignificant amount. It can be life-changing money for someone... there will always be needy/desperate people out there.

As mentioned above, this is for a relatively inexperienced candidate, so salary rage would be between R8,000 - R15,000 pm depending on the candidates level of expertise and experience.
I honestly think there is a disconnect between the market and your expectations. If I may suggest, perhaps a rethink the salary range or a rethink of the responsibilities and working conditions are in order.

Ouch, that's about what I made in my 2nd year of working...roughly 20 years ago.
