Is itemised billing mandatory on MTN contracts? Or is it at your SPs discretion?

I never thought one had much choice in the matter (all the ads always say "itemised billing and CLI mandatory") but when I took out a MyChoice150 contract with a data card, the sales person said I obviously don't need IB, and didn't activate it.

So, is it required or not? Can it be deactivated on a voice contract if I don't need/want it?

Thanks

It depends on the package and the Promo.

On all promo pakcages ITB is mandatory.
If your on a normal Subscription and it's not a Promo, U can have it removed.

Itemised Billing via email?

Hi Guys

I received a SMS advising that I could get my statements via email. I never activated it, but last month I received it via email. Is this now compulsory?

The statement came in bits & pieces to two email addresses. I have two contracts.

What's up?

Thanks for clearing that up.

Do the same rules apply for CLI? When I took out my data card contract, I asked for no itemized billing and no CLI, I have that in writing. I'm not getting charged for itemized billing, but I'm still getting charged for CLI.

AFAIK CLI is not mandatory ever, I'll double check and clear that for you.
