iTunes 7 released

Yup a 4400+, but running windows XP Pro 32bit.

Just ran system restore and it broke iTunes completely..... now trying to fix it... stupid damn rubbish XP.

I need a mac

Well iTunes 6 seems to be running fine now but Quicktime movies still jerk when running with any type of 3D apps.... never happened before iTunes 7

Other than the fact that I cant actually use iTunes 7 to play music it did look quite nice, good progress in the UI. Now to just get it to work.

Gonna wait till they update it.

Topic: Fix for distorted sound in itunes ver 7.0

Right-click your mouse button on the quicktime icon in your system tray, then click on quicktime preferences in the popup menu that shows up,...then click on the audio tab(it'll be on the top next to the other ones)....then change the sound out rates to the following:

rate:48kHz or less
size: 16 bit

then click the apply button on the bottom.

then restart your iTunes.

A rather simple fix but it's surprising Apple didn't come up with it on their own. Hopefully one of the Monkey's in charge of coding the most unwanted Quicktime will eventually fix the problem so it supports 24-bit sound.

Mine was already on 16 bit audio - so that "fix" did diddlysquat

I love iTunes but atleast now V6 is kinda working again. 7 doesnt work at all and QT movies dont play properly unless it is the only thing playing.

oh dear.....it happened to me now aswell. The volume goes up and down and sound disappears from one speaker then re-appears. I checked immediately with wmp10 to make sure it is not the source and its perfect there

I think I stated it before, but I reckon it is the port of iTunes to Windows. My Mac version runs without a problem
