What do you mean with import?

I use Rhythmbox to sync my music to my iPad and can only export media/playlists, Dont think you can import them from the device.

Not from my iPod, from iTunes. i.e. I want to copy my music as well as my playlists, play counts, ratings etc from iTunes into Rhythmbox...

Aaah, that I can not help you with.

I know there is a couple of Add-ons/scripts that can do it for you but can not comment on which one will be the best Sorry.

Most Linux users avoid itunes so won't be much help, when i moved over my itunes library I used Amarok.
