Ivy under fire

Very good article! I have made peace with this reality. I am now in a much healthier zone of Zen and can hear little flies and bees fart in the distant flower beds of Ankh. I don't expect much from Commissar Ivy and therefore cannot get disappointed when she lives up to that expectation.

I have made peace with the fact that we will be below average instead of great in this country. A good communist knows how to live closer to Mother Earth than striving for silly electronic gadgets and high tech communications. That is what hurt Mother Russia! Those capitalist fools who want to build space ships and electric cars (like Mr. Musk) must stuff off to a capitalist pig country like the USA if they want those silly ideas to become reality! Evil capitalist! How dare he develop an electronic pay system like PayPal and think he could run it from South Africa? ROFL! South Africans don't do such things! We consume purely HTTP and EMAIL content. We have no need for high bandwidth web applications like video streaming or online gaming. We can maybe play a little bit of online chess as it is good for the mind and doesn't require much bandwidth. I like playing it via email. It is slow enough to hurt! Pain is good for a communist, not so comrade Ivy? A little suffering makes us human. It reminds us that we are on the right track. The slow track to nowhere interesting. Technology corrupts the soul and spoils the minds of young people. I aim to be a good communist! What I hope for is good and fair use of my 3 Gig cap. I promise not to download too much when visiting sites like ted.com those ideas are evil anyway! I just look in order to see what is evil and unwanted these days. Those capitalist pigs change so much it is laughable. Progress, SUCKS!!! Can you believe comrade, they want to go to Mars?!!!? MARS!!!??!! What are they thinking?!!??!

Those pigs with their high bandwidth caps, affordable communication for all its people and tech monguering scum are looking for trouble! Good thing we got Mr Musk and his kindred evil friends to leave us and go develop evil technology over there! We would have been far worse off had we created an environment where these evil people can flourish!

We must fight not just ideas comrade Ivy, but the idea of ideas! I feel dirty just thinking about these things comrade. I will stop now. There farts another fly... Or was that a burp? Cute!

Tea is at eleven, but you can drop by any time to visit the University's Library. ;)

I give up if we going to have stupid idiots running our country, so be it...

Don't forget to take a few bananas for the University's Librarian. And watch out for those damn new interns, they haven't quite got the hang of their wands yet.

Better luck of getting water out of a rock........

/me calls up the Guild of Telecommunications....

We can live in hope though...maybe one day a good samaratan will come along :)

Great read just don't think it will help much.

Damn, we need someone to make some noise! Lets start our own political party! Oh wait won't help much we will just be asked to leave if we ask the "right" questions...

South Africa, where shooting ones own foot is being mastered every day!!

"we need to bring communications to the people" Yeah right....

And so it continues - journalists, this website and all of us are throwing rocks of the written form. I thinks its time we get genuine rocks and destabilize this place as was done in the years of yonder.

Perhaps we need martyrs like Steve Biko to die in prison before our government will take us seriously. Likely that is the only form of protest they understand. All the articles and mud slinging in the last few years have done nothing to wake them up.

Its appreciated that the media, this forum and all of us bitch and moan - but is that enough. Is it in anyway having an effect in the way that they are thinking/running this place - NO!

Will business take up arms against government?
Corporate business milks enough out of this country - they grease the mechanics of our government. To now turn and raise their fists concerning the telecoms industry - pffft - If they did, those companies would have my vote for a Nobel prize!

If you think about the banking industry and how much they coin out of this nation - their profit margins far exceed the need to re-look how they are communicating. The major 4 banks generate most of their money in the corporate world - the retail market which is us mere mortals is simply an avenue which brings and added benefit to the shareholders.
So they make enough money - **** more than enough - nothing tells me that they would challenge the DoC and its comrades.

The only business that will make any effort are those who are directly involved in this stuggle. ISP's, website owners, SMME's and the general public - and we all know what the government thinks of the general public - diddly squat! For those who have been voted into power to represent us - they only need a new car and the right time of year and then they walk across to the other side.

So the only outcome I see is: Someone call up Mark Thatcher and get him to foot the bill for getting rid of Poison Ivy.

PS! Mark if you do take the offer - don't get caught :D We'll pay you in the blood, sweat and tears that are being drawn out from us via bandwidth!

*sigh*

Duncan McLeod! Hey, if this woman pisshed off the highlander, shhhe pished me off too!

Ivy needs to face off with Duncan McLeod in a thunderdome style battle to the death on 7de Laan, maybe that would get someones attention... wouldnt solve any of Zimbabwe, oh excuse me, South Africa's problems, but it would sure as ÂŁ*$& be funny!

Ag I am so gatvol reading this everyday. Really.

South Africa has been taken from us for good. We will have no say whatsoever. The goverment thinks what is best for there interests(pockets) and not the public long time ago.

So long international hands is been kept out of this country they can do whatever they please and make there own international standards.

We are the public. We are supposed to shut up and do as they pleased.
This is how government operates.

Thats why I replaced the word "Die for" in the "Live and Die for my country" with "fcukoff out" long time ago.
