Jeremy Loops

I was at Park Acoustics yesterday and saw Jeremy Loops for the first time.

This guy is seriously legit. He's the funkiest artist I've had the pleasure of witnessing live.

Have any of you guys heard of him? Thoughts?

My favourite tune of his is "My Shoes" :D
 
Heard, watched many times and yes he's fantastic... "Gypsy Opera" my favourite but sadly he doesn't play it anymore so next is probably "Howling" but they're all great!!!
 
Also saw him there yesterday, was a brillant performance. Also seen him a couple times at arcade empire, always top notch.
 
Yonks ago - a year or two - I saw him at Zula Bar in CPT.
Well - kinda saw him - he was bitching with the sound engineer for like 20 minutes that there was too much bass and that the roof was reverbing his sound too much.
I and others were of the opinion he should just play - or arrive early enough to do a proper soundcheck.
He would start a song and then 20 seconds in stop and bitch with the sound engineer again.

Needless to say - I walked off across to the bar and got wasted with my other friends.

I've heard good things about him after that - he played a few gigs in the USA and people loved him.
I understand he's cult following is growing - I'll likely youtube him or something when I get home and give him a listen.

Have a listen and look at Jon Gomm - that oke is scary good ;)

Well I've made an effort to order this oke's EP.
I'm gonna support him.

I'll take a look at Jon Gomm later :D
 
Jeremy's performance is not bad, although it seems to borrow from Beardyman, IMO

Yoav is another artist that comes to mind wrt to live looping.
I've yet to see him perform - always miss his CPT gigs for some or other reason :/
 
Yip. He is very good. If you enjoy guitarists doing the whole looping thing, check out Phil Keaggy on youtube.
 
played at a friends wedding, was pretty cool, but i wouldnt go out of my way to watch him
 
So I've inquired twice bout purchasing this dude's cd off his website. I've had NO response from them, I feel like calling his manager and telling her that I'm going to go out of my way to pirate Jeremy Loops' music.
How the fack are we supposed to support the artist if he doesn't want us to?:mad:
