Theres a very active mesh in the west, basically to get started, find yourself using Google Earth, join the irc channel on www.wug.za.net and ask away.

If not, anybody in that area wanna start one?
If so, please let ignorant me know what equipment I would need or even better, how to pickup the WiFi signal from Killarney Mall?

Is that even possible?

Ryder, I did check your signature, and tried to use the IRC chat options on the other link but... everything is blocked at work, but myadsl is not

I live in a flat so I guess that poses a problem with regards to LOS

I was asking about Killarney Mall cos they have WiFi and it's free for 5hours a month if I use my MWEB user details...

But there's buildings in-between

Sandton, and its surrounding areas continues to elude our coverage, but there are other sites within range, as long as your LOS is good!
