Jimmy Manyi at it again

This is all such BS. If things had been the other way around, this would not even have been a discussion topic.

As far as I'm concerned has only become an issue because the likes of Manyi have an inferiority complex

Please state view pertinent to the discussion at hand :D.

I never said he did or did not require mentoring. I asked why you questioned the practice in this instance when you say it's what the BMF does, as such adding weight to Manyi and his questions, which you have answered.

I agree with Tassidar though, Jimmy is far to race conscious to be considered fairly or even seriously.
Would love to hear Moyo's take on this.

20:1? I doubt that but also remember the black managers probably get 10-15% higher salary.

That and they get the job handed to them on a silver platter. Even when they can't do the job.

Key skills are probably paid more for retention purposes. Because of the scarcity, black managers are a key resource in most businesses.

Actually more accurately, White male / Black male is around 7:1, not 20:1 for top management and senior management is closer to 5:1 Middle management is 3:1

This is changing rapidly and if you look at ITWeb today you will see figures of CIO's for instance. Only 52% are white males.

From a previous post, white unemployment rates grew at the fastest pace of all unemployment rates. Between 1995 and 2002, white unemployment rates doubled (an increase of more than 100%), while black unemployment rates increased by just 22%. Although white unemployment remains much lower than black unemployment, it is growing more rapidly.

I think it is fair to conclude that marginilisation does in fact take place due to the slow pace of job creation and the enforcement of AA and EE.
