I had a go at one of these - #$#$%#$% me they are fast - I really want one.
My best 0-100km/h is 5.7s (.5, can't recall) (measured) on a couple of those devices you get.
To make matters worse, up in the north, dude works with me...I sit on this car's bumper...either he CAN't drive or the Mongoletsi and pipe work
We both claimed the latter!you notice it the most on alfa's i think ! my car is like a 1L till it hits 3000Rpm then it can run with the 2'sjust forces me to always keep the revs up cause i hate having no oomph
and you will be proud to know that alfa are planning on bringing a 1.8 Twin Turbo'd 1.8 149 when it launches. with that 1.8 pushing out somewhere around the 200kw mark
that would be fair.. PGti 1.8 t vs alfa 1.8t

I had just got my car
Had no idea how fast an RS4 - and that sound!!! It was love at first raw. Happened in Milnerton.I also took on an R8 in the same area (for fun) - just before the bridge to Woodbridge island - that was just embarrassing, I think I was still looking for 2nd gear, and he was out of sight.

LOL don't worry bro I do this ALL the time...here's my recipe for how to get a supercar or fast car to race off the line or for the owner to give it beans...
scenario 1:
You stop at the robot next to a Nissan GTR...you look at it in desperate aww, tell everyone in the car to look at it...STARE...and smile with the driver, he won't smile back 9 times out of 10...I guarantee when the lights go green you'll hear the BOV's pop when he changes gears down the street!!!
Scenario 2.
You drive up next to a supercar or fastcar on the highway...pull up next to it and pull an xrapidx move on him and make as if you wana dice, the drive will prolly think...who's this d00s lemme get rid of him quick...there you go, your little supercar show!!!

I recon thats what happened with the R8.
With the RS4 - I think he just wanted me to know my loud little sports car isn't as fast as I think - he was 4-up as well - just pulled up next to him at the robot - and he floored it, so I decided to go for it. He quickly made me feel like I was peddling a bicycle.
Had a go at a Golf 5 R32 last night - second one so far - they're disappointing.
Apparently the new Golf 6 GTI is quick - haven't run into one yet.
The most embarrassing hiding I got was last week - by a heavily modified Uno Turbo that looked like it had been in an accident

I SO agreee...I don't know if they are DSG or auto or whatever gearbox they have in...but they look heavy on their feet...unlike G6GTi looks fast while standing still...

Coastal? Around 7 seconds for a GTI6 and 7.5 seconds for a GTI5
R32 is pretty much on par with a standard GTI5 up here - but it's very close. I was at the JHB International Motorshow and the one guy there said he doesn't even like to look at a GTI5 driver at the robots ...

Its quite a fast car, but you have to "set it up" if you going to race.
At the coast it should perform at its full potential.
You have to put it in sport mode, hold the brake and accelerator then take off... thats for maximum performance on take off. Its a highway cruiser.

atleast the old Mk5s were fun, the new MK6 OUCH!! I see the new Scirrocos in 2010 will all have the 155kw engine, now thats good, but I feel VW might add more spice to the GTi.Fair enough, I wouldnt believe it to if it wasnt me saying it!
But I did. Type R yawn, I wont even entertain that. Been ther done that thousands of times.
RSis were easy with my Polo, same with Fiesta STs.

Yea ... although most get just under 8 seconds, I can get in 5s easily in my C30 too

With any car the more you drive the more you learn things like how fast it can corner, strong points weak points, burn the clutch a little for maximum power of the line, things like that. If you take of with 1- 3000rpm you not going anywhere till the turbo kicks in... simple things. Keep the revs over 2500rpm when changing gears, especially 1st to second.
