Well I'm on the job hunt at the moment (A week now). I'm using Gumtree, Jobmail and Careers24. Please could you guys suggest other avenues to look?

TIA

Careful with uploading your CV to sites like pnet. You are going to be flooded with calls from recruiters and most of them are pretty useless.

I prefer going to a specific recruitment agency and let them line up interviews instead of a hundred of them pulling you in different directions or double sending your CV to the same company causing an admin nightmare.

Oh, if you are a full stack developer then dHub is looking for people. They are doing the innovation work for Liberty. They're interview process is arduous, slow and there's a hint of a "holier than though" attitude...cocky even. I reckon they think they're the hottest thing south of silicone valley.

Anyway, if you are willing to go through with they're interview and lucky enough that your contact details don't get lost in a mailbox somewhere then it might be a rewarding experience working for them.

LinkedIn seems like the primary route among my peers. Plus of course connections

Thanks for the info.

@Hamster: I've had a situation like that before, I think it was actually with PNET some years back. What a nightmare.

I came here to say.
Pnet, but do not put your phone number down only email.
same with linked in. do not put your phone number.

my last 4 interviews and my last 2 positions came from LinkedIn. a decent profile on there allows you to become quite picky.

@OP, many companies advertise positions on their website e.g. Old Mutual. So if you looking for a particular location, this might be useful. Do this, also bypasses agencies.

The issue with this strategy is that a large percentage of companies use reqruiters.
