But yeah, idiotic decision. I think he panicked a bit. Should have asked the TMO to check if he thought it needed more than a penalty.

Whats the bet there will be no sanction for the ref. The yellow card was probably not even a penalty. Tackled around the shoulders like Bismarck on carter. The all blacks were all over the french neck lines in a lot of the mauls but not penalized. Oh and apparently its ok to crawl on the way to the try line if u are a NZ player

I'd like to see the TMO come in immediately in cases like this. I think the ref was on the other side of the drive so he maybe couldn't see, but either way the TMO should intervene.

Aside from the terrible call on the yellow he had a good game.
