I'm just worried about every number from 9 to 15 right now. LOL, who am I kidding? We don't have much from 1 to 3 either, and our options at 6 & 7 might work or they might implode spectacularly.

Coach Rassie Erasmus has named his team to face England in the first of three Test matches at Ellis Park this weekend, with two uncapped wings and an uncapped lock in the starting line-up.

Sbu Nkosi, Aphiwe Dyantyi and RG Snyman all make their Springbok debuts this week, in what can only be described as a Bok team mix of experience and youth.

Willie le Roux returns to the Bok fold at fullback, joining a very inexperienced yet pacey back three. Damian de Allende and Lukhanyo Am make up a strong midfield while Handre Pollard and Faf de Klerk make up the halfbacks.

The third overseas player left in the squad starts at eighthman, Duane Vermeulen back in the Green and Gold. Captain Kolisi and Jean-Luc du Preez flank the scrum. Expectation was that Pieter Steph du Toit would be the only starter from the Wales match, but he is on the bench while Franco Mostert and RG Snyman start. The front row is made up of Trevor Nyakane, Bongi Mbonambi and Tendai 'The Beast' Mtawarira.

The bench sees the inclusion of Akker van der Merwe who really impressed in the Wales game, while Kitshoff and Wilco Louw make up the front row stocks. Notshe will earn his second cap off the bench, as will Ivan van Zyl after his start last weekend.

Elton Jantjies and Warrick Gelant complete the bench.

Excited with that back three. Hopefully Willie finds that old spark and ignites that attacking potential.
 
Saturday's game is going to be an interesting game. I don't really know what to expect.

Very tough one to call! England have named a pretty damn strong team as well! Eddie is a master tactician, well documented. On paper England are at least 20 points better than the Boks. Hell, if you exclude their 6 nations form you would expect a 30 point drubbing come Saturday.

Rassies starting XV show no familiar combinations. You basically got new half back pairing, new midfield pairing, new back three, new loose trio, new lock pairing, new front row pairing!!! Under any other coach I would say this is going to go horribly wrong come Saturday! But Rassie is a special child and Ellis Park is a special stadium plus there is all that historical hatred the Boers have for the English. The Boks might be ranked 7th but at Ellis Park they are always ranked 2nd (NZ 1st). Only Eden Park is a tougher place for a touring team to go and win. So on that basis I think it might be close!! I'm hoping and praying for a Bok win!

A lot of people have commented on how heavily weighted the Sharks representation is, in the Bok squad, they claim unduly so but I disagree. The Sharks have won 3 games against NZ opposition. Could easily have been 4 had they not been robbed against the Canes. NZ are the gold standard when it comes to measuring performance so those wins indicate to me the potential for greatness from the Sharks outfit, if they can just find a proper coach. Rassie is a proper coach. I listened to a Sbu Nkosi being interviewed earlier today and he had a lot to say about Rassie and the drills they'd been running in preparation for the test. Clearly a level of intensity and professionalism he hadn't experienced at the Sharks. This augurs well...

England came to play, so lets see where it all ends up.

I reckon, either way, more questions than answers will be presented, but lets see.

I'm worried that some old blood experience in the Bok outfit pulled a 'sicky', but maybe thats not a bad thing.
It is an opportunity for the young bloods to shine. That opportunity does not present itself every day. Grab it fella's!

I'm nervous, but hoping for a good result.
