Just bought a CBR1000RR 2007

I think it should be around 150 BHP give or take a few.

The power on these machines are insane. If you have ever been in a V-tec car, you will notice there is an increase in power at about 4k revs and then again at about 7k.

The Bike does the same but only at 7k revs..... Once that happens you feel the true thrill of driving a 1L bike ;)
 
Yeah, I see they're already turbocharging the 14 as well. I know the turbo busa's made close on 500BHP. :)

I prefer torque though so the Triumph Rocket III is more my cup-a.

I have to agree.

I think I posted this in another thread, but V-Twin engines is my all time favourite. If I didn'd get this bike for such a bargain I would have bought a SV 1000 or something :o
 
I'll give it a few years before I go litre route. Not only the bike, but the insurance will probably kill me as well, right now. That's one down side of having a bike. Still, a bike that performs on par with a Porsche or a Ferarri on a straight line costs a LOT cheaper than said cars.
 
Yesterday during the morning hours about 03:00 AM

The friend who I bought this bike from, he's new 2008 Model had been totaled. Not by himself but another friend of he's on a joy ride. :(

Why do people ride bikes in the darkest hours of the morning ? And that while drunk also :rolleyes:

Anyway the other dude is ok, had an opperation yesterday in the afternoon sometime, skingraph on hes arse and back :D
 
And THAT is why we like wearing leathers when riding bikes. That dude was playing with his life...seriously.

The stangest thing is, this same guy that fell

1. Totaled he's GSXR 1000 about 2 years ago
2. Broke he's foot going to the Paradise Rally last year - Car changing lanes drove into him. He didn't fall but broke he's foot.
3. Dropped another GSXR 1000 Begining this year doing a wheelie - Got skingraphs done.
4. Had a quad accident about 3 weeks ago, Rare wheel drove over he's head taking he's skelp off he's head so bad, looked like he was shot with a shot gun.
5. Yesterday.

Now I ask you, how the fk do you let a guy like that ride your brand new bike ?
 
Ok, your buddy is an idiot for letting that guy go on his bike, that guy is an idiot for wanting to go on a bike and we're all idiots because...well...it seems to balance things out.

That guy should SERIOUSLY stay away from things with two wheels
edit - actually...things that can move at a relatively high velocity, in general.

I feel so bad for the guy. I think the problem is that he wants to ride bike like the other guys, and everytime ends with a road rash :rolleyes:

I Don't even try and do the things those guys do cos that shyt will get u killed. Looks like he's just to hard headed and keeps hurting himself trying to keep up with the pro's.

No thank you I have kids and a Wife I love. No way in hell I'll compromise that ;)

Good man. I really don't see why people do those crazy things. I mean, when your front wheel's in the air, you basically have no control over where the bike's going and it would take you at least a second or two to gain control, should you need to. Being on a bike's risky as is, why would anyone want to increase those risks? I'll take my chances with the lotto, thanks
