Just ordered Mweb fibre thoughts ?

Well what I can tell you is, anything local you won't have a problem with. Try to use international services, and you would be surprised how much you get shaped. They are basically open throughout the day but at peak times they shape international traffic to the point that you can't watch a 160p stream without it buffering . This is about from 6 to 11 at night. I was with them for about 6 years and never really used international services so I never noticed it. I went to my friends house since he has fiber to do a few tests and he has EXACTLY the same experience at the exact time I do. He also gets throttled after 1TB on his 100mbps line. Not only did we notices this but a MWEB agent confirmed it as well. Another gentleman also here on the forum has complained about this. They are a good ISP in general

That’s not good, i plan to use it mostly for online gaming and Netflix and some torrents . Thanks for the info though, a couple of posts up another member said he downloaded 4tb without issues so maybe it’s not as bad as it used to be.

Another member stated they have downloaded 4tb in a month and still no throttling so hopefully that’s the case

They don't throttle but they might shape torrents (I haven't tested torrents properly) I just hit 5TB for Jan already. lol.

@Jimmy-Z, we are only on the 8th day of the month and you have already hit 5TB.

I want to find out if they really don't throttle. So I've been downloading random crap, capturing live streams, Netflix & YouTube in 4k that I leave running

Doing the same with MTN Supersonic. Downloading a storm in the free month to see how it goes and if they don't throttle or shape I know I won't have problems later on.

I've only hit 320gb didn't even realise I had used that much. Also had no issues streaming

No real issue with my 10mb MWEB uncapped on Octotel in the passed 18months. It's been solid
Any issue was rather the fibre provider (Octotel) and not MWEB. (some high latency)
I'm now hoping for some package price revisions :)

So I've just received the fibre router ( no word yet from openserve as to when they are coming to install) it seems to be a WR7010v2 anybody using this specific router? wanted to get your thoughts of it, My pc will connect to it using ethernet and the wifi will connect to my wireless devices like amazon fire stick, macbook etc.

My Mweb router is still in it's box, sealed. lol.

I'm with Vuma, so as soon as they completed the installation, I called Mweb with my object number, I set up the router & I was up & running in 3 or 4 hours when Mweb activated the connection.
