JVC LT-55N935 keeps restarting

I am looking for anyone with the firmware update for JVC LT-55N935 smart tv. I bought this set at Game Midlands Mall in Pietermaritzburg and took it abroad in December 2014. it is very difficult and costly to send it back for fixing under warranty. The TV keeps freezing and restarting, sometimes takes ages to boot. Sometimes it starts well. I have tried to reset it many times but still the problem persists. If anyone out there has help, please help me as i am very much frustrated.

My 55n935 had a lot of issues after I bought it,freeze up,not responding and remote not working.
I downloaded the kogan firmware and installed it on my TV.it worked 100%.... I had it on the kogan software for the last 2 years or so and have not yet had an issue till today.however..... Today we had another power failure and the TV is only showing the kogan screen and doesnt boot on.lucky I still have the same firmware program and installed it again. Working fine now
 
Being a 3year old thread i was skeptical if this would still work. Ben36's (recent) confirmation gave me the courage to try. I am happy to report that this does indeed work. And the operating system is quick-quick now; better than when we first bought this tv. Thank you all.

Btw, Toeriew's link doesn't work anymore; i used this one which has clear instructions and direct download link :

Jip....... Works like a bomb. Mine still going strong with the latest software. Toeriew's link is the old software I loaded about 2 years ago and it also worked until recently, due to a few power failures. When I tried loading the same software I had from 2 years ago it didn't work, and had to download the latest software.
 
I downloaded the kogan software for the same TV but It does not work. The file is written Mstarupdate.bin, don't I have to rename it to something else to work?

Please send the file you used because i have tried downloading it from the kogan page andit does not work. file name is MstarUpdate.bin
 
Hi guys
So...... Recently I got connection at new world who said he has the latest jvc software upgrade for the n935. Went through alot to get my TV AL the way to him during working hours to load the new software. Got back home with it and was so stoked that it worked and it showed the jvc logo again. Had it running for 2 weeks without any problems. Until....... We went away for a few days over Xmas, and as always I switch of all power on main dv board for plugs, because of lightning and load shedding. Got back from our little adventure and switched the power back on..........! and same **** all over again as it was about 3 years ago..... Takes 2 to 3 hours to just come on, takes forever to do anything on it. So I turned back to the kogan software again..... And walla...!!! Works like a charm again. Now I really don't care about the jvc logo, because jvc's software is up to ****!
 
Please guys assist me, my HDMI ports are not responding to my pc and Dstv.

Same issue just with mine if I unplug the TV as well as everything else connected to it for a few minutes as well as rest it, it will work with hdmi pc starts up pc bios displays then the TV screen displays no signal. Will try the firmware upgrade might be lucky also on my lt-n576 I'm getting the same issues. Started since last week since this load shedding started

Can i have the copy of the software
 
I don't have that most recent software. Just wanted to say that it became so troublesome I was reflashing the firmware weekly. In the end I got the tv replaced under extended warranty.

The problem with mine is that i lost the proof of purchase so I'm stuck with the TV
