How do I reset my JVC LT-58N785? It does not have any physical buttons on the TV exept for power button. The screen is locked on a dial pad and it shows Airplay service running and EShareServer. Not connected to any device or wifi. I have tried to do manual reset as the remote does not work with the screen being locked. I have checked the user manual and there is nothing under trouble shooting.

Unplug it from the wall and leave it for an hour or so?

To unlock your JVC LT-58N785 TV, try entering the default PIN codes or perform a factory reset if the codes don't work.

1. Try Default PIN Codes
If the TV is asking for a password, it is likely a parental control lock. Try the following common default codes:
  • 0000
  • 1234
If these do not work, some sources suggest trying 6666.

2. Use the Remote's Recall Button
If you have the original remote, you may be able to clear the PIN code by pressing the RECALL button four times within five seconds. This method may not work for all models, but is a quick solution if available.

3. Perform a Factory Reset (if default codes fail)
If the default PINs do not work or you do not have the original remote, a factory reset will erase all settings, including the forgotten PIN, and restore the TV to its original state.

Note: A factory reset will remove all custom settings and downloaded apps.

Method A: Via the Settings Menu (Requires access to menu)
  1. Press the Settings or Menu button on your remote.
  2. Navigate to System.
  3. Select Advanced system settings (if applicable).
  4. Select Factory reset or Factory data reset.
  5. Select Erase everything or follow the on-screen instructions.

Method B: Hard Reset (if menu access is locked)
If the lock prevents you from accessing the settings menu, perform a hard reset using the power cycle method:
  1. Turn off the TV and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. If the TV has a physical power button on the back or front, press and hold it for 30 to 60 seconds. If it does not have a physical power button, simply wait a full minute.
  3. Wait for at least one full minute after releasing the power button (if applicable).
  4. Plug the power cord back into the outlet.
  5. Turn on the TV and proceed with the initial setup, where you can set a new PIN if desired.
If there is a small Reset button on the back of the TV, you can press and hold it for 30 seconds while the TV is on as an alternative hard reset method.
