KDE 4.1.1 Released

cool please let us know if it fixes the taskmanager bug the one where you only get one line
 
MyWorld have you downloaded the package from the KDE site or install from the repo?
 
From the kdesvn overlay.
layman -L
layman -a kdesvn-portage
layman -S

And follow the rest of the steps in the Gentoo-Wiki.

I ran into a bug with regards to dynamic and static libraries, sorting it out as we speak, and hopefully will have everything up and running before nights end.
 
I do not see any changes off hand over 4.1 yet, everything still feels pretty much the same, maybe I should clean out all the KDE dirs and start from scratch...

Nope, nothing to shout home about... I see 4.2 complete sets in the SVN, maybe I'll try that...

Remember that KDE4 is only a shell - the applications are still coming (which is why I'm waiting).

KDE 3.5.9 fan here. :) 4.x looks awesome, but they still need to improve. 4.3 will be the big one, I think.
 
Got bitten in the ass by KDE4 as well.. will take a lot of convincing before I try it again
 
I really is not that bad, granted I still need kde 3.5 libs for kaffeine and some other apps, but on a whole I'm happy with the experience so far. Been over 2 months now (I think) and I have no desire to install KDE3.5 again.
 
i dont mind kde 4 either i was using it till i updated too kde4.1 then came the taskmanager bug the one liner ive tried to sort it out but cant get anything to work so i'm back too kde3.5.10 untill an update for that bug is sorted
