If sleeping with an AC is bad for your skin and can give you a cold, and sleeping with a fan is no better, and leaving the window open is not an option in SA, how di we keep cool in this scorching heat?

I sleep with my window open and fan on. Just need to get an AC in my bedroom and I’ll be a triple threat.

I'm assuming you don't have burglar bars? My suggestion is that you consider fitting them to your windows.

I cannot sleep in a room with the windows closed, does not matter if it's winter or summer. My room stays pretty cool as a result.

How is sleeping with an aircon on bad for your skin?
My AC at work is on every single day, even most days in winter.

I sleep with a wall fan on setting 2 at night, setting 3 causes my down duvet to hop up and down and disrupts my sleep.
On a very very hot night I use a Gardena Mist Spray bottle and spray my feet and legs, the wind from fan gets me nice and cold for just enough time to fall asleep.

:D

Stay awake then

They can grow things in them.

We got insect screens on the windows, so they stay open. We also then have a column fan with a timer. Depending on how hot and how long I will leave the fan on longer or shorter. When it is as hot as it has been the last few days I tend to take a 2 min cold shower prior to bed and get into bed wet with the fan on me. That normally gets me cold enough to fall asleep.

A/C on 16 + Fan on 2 every night. My skin is perfectly fine and can’t remember when last I was sick.

lol.

If only, work is torture. Need to keep my vents closed. My skin reacts badly, like stinging insect bites all over.

Have no clue why. What is in AC?
