Kelloggs: A Cereal KillA ?

Stock up chaps. I'm going to buy 20 boxes tomorrow.

Well they pissed us off so much that we boycotted just about every other Kellogs product. Moved on too late Kellogs.

^^Lol. Same here, too little too late ... Kelloggs are dead to us.

After a massive revolt, the old Rice Krispies are back – but pricier and imported from the UK
Imports of the original Rice Krispies from the UK started last month. “We are importing the product from the UK because we no longer have manufacturing capability to manufacture the product in South Africa.”

According to a Times Live report, a 510g box of imported original Rice Krispies will cost around R70. A 600g box of Vanilla Rice Krispies currently costs R47.99 at Game.

Kellogs, this miserable line in your statement just does not cut it.
Drop the games, bring back the original and make it here again! Are you completely tuned out to the move towards less sugar??? Of course a test panel will like the new rubbish because it is loaded with sugar! What were you thinking?

“Yes, we have listened to our consumers who enjoyed the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Original cereal; we’ve been working behind the scenes and have now relaunched the product in the market,” Kellogg's SA’s head of external relations Zandi Mposelwa told TimesLIVE.

They would not have had to work behind the scenes at all if they had just left well alone. Marketing idiots!

70 buck?! Feck that.

Packaging is crap also.
R 61.45 @ Makro

Tastes exactly the same as before with all the snap, crackles and pops as well

Woke anti sugar culture would just stop consuming it. I wouldn't try it with or without sugar lol.

Clever move on the part of the local manufactor.
"Have to import original"
More profit off the same amount of sales.
Ripping off customers , so typical of local business.

So, Frosties are back. Second sighting in a week - first at PnP and today at Makro (at a much better price)
