Key Fob issue

Have you figured out the issue?

I have no issue, if I had his issue I'd stop by the dealer and make it their problem. Even from the dealer the battery shouldn't be more than a few bucks.

My diagnosis would be that he wants to save R5 by buying crap from makro and the Paki's rather than taking it to the people that works with it everyday.

This is what happens when yo buy a cheap Jaguar that is out of warranty.

Well, I wouldn't mind owning a jag, those are awesome looking cars. But I'd need to have the budget to maintain them before I'd buy one. I'm too poor for that atm.

Just imagine an jag xe, that v8 one. I'd sell @Tabac to you if it would mean I'd afford one.

I don't really see how it could determine a different battery.
They'd actually have to actively record a last voltage and only allow changes within a range (but why, this is like one of those right to repair things, they'd really have to be trying to screw you)
That or your other battery was dead on arrival or you forgot to remove the plastic.
Check both batteries with a multi-meter, proceed from there.
