It was a good Burger that is all I can say. But then they strong competition from the likes of Burger King and MacMunch.
Anyone remember MacMunch in the Golden Acre in Cape Town? You could literally share a Burger between two people they were so big. MacDonalds would have looked pale in comparison.

Don't remember MacMunch, used to go to that Bakhoven often. :)

Those KFC burgers we used to get in George and Mosselbay, had the white sauce on them.
 
The Casbah in Durbs made burgers served in pizza boxes - huge those things were - bigger than the 750gram Chuckleberry's burger you get nowadays.

A grilled patty/burger would taste better than a deep fried one and to prevent it from becoming dry there is obviously a sauce applied to it.

There was a time when the old Colonel Burger was the next best thing to sliced cheese. They certainly killed that one.

I think they are trying to kill Nandos market, But is Nandos as big as they were in SA? I havent had Nandos for atleast a year! I had a bad experience where they cut chicken length wise in 2 and popped a flat piece in the burger, I complained they didnt care, I never went back. Its a rip off they making 2 burgers with one chicken breast!! And their prices are alarmingly high theses days.

The Colonel burger is still around but not in Zinger option, just like the Mansize meal. Its still good, but like you mentioned it has to be "hot and fresh" or else its dry...

Yep, those were some humungo burgers those :D (and dirt cheap too).

I love the grilled chicken wraps so I will deff. try the burgers :D

But for now I will have to make due with this 500g piece of biltong :(
 
Nandos chicken burgers meals are just way to expensive for my current budgetary environment. Haven't eaten one this year, though I yearn to.
 
Uncle Fuzi's in hatfield is awesome at around 3 am and for lunch.

2 chicken burgers for R30 :D

And they are very nice! Also a great Peri-peri sauce.

wow, im impressed! i owned the casbah burger box on the corner of west street and point road in durban.. thanks for all the nice comments about my food. i have been away from south africa for quite some time and will be heading back to s.a., well,cape town soon and yep, u guessed right, i am looking at opening a branch there!
