Kill a Cow

Its not just "Big Brother", we just have had problems before, and its definately better to err on the side of caution in that respect, do you not agree?

Do I smell Political Correctness.

If I thought it was against the rules I would have considered PM'ing a mod or something.

I'm just voicing my opinion.

So then let him voice his.

In your opinion.
I think theres more than enough evidence based on knorrigs few posts to show that he has a right-wing agenda and that he is using myadsl to promote it. In my opinion he is a troll.

And you don't promote your left-wing agenda:rolleyes: .

The guy comes on and from his first post starts promoting http://www.theconservativevoice.com a very far right site. Most of his threads have racial topic. Sorry there is nothing unfair in my labeling him.
No I haven't taken note of every thread you've started, but I'm assuming not every contribution to this forum so far has been motivated by your political views.

Again so what? Do you have a problem letting people voice their own idea's or posting a link to a site that differs ideologically from you. Do you fear people being informed of sites who don't think as you do. If you can't "promote" http://www.theconservativevoice.com then you can't "promote" www.cnn.com or http://www.independent.co.uk.

It is to early to start calling him a troll. Certainly if it's a deliberate attempt to intimidate and devalue his posts just because he differs in opinion to you.

I suppose freedom of speech is a one way street.

Dear Xarog,

Check my new thread, AHOY! PC-Police, and then you will understand.

And please don't threaten me. Unlike you, I haven't been cowed into submission by those who do not respect the Freedom of the Press!

How were you threatened?

Mark my words knorrig is a right-wing troll and is already showing himself to be one.

And you don't promote your left-wing agenda:rolleyes:
.

Certainly not to the exclusion of anything else.

If you think cnn and the independent are left-wing to the same degree that the conservative voice is right-wing then you are a tad confused.

And as usual you are missing the point. When a member starts promoting any sort of view point to the degree that knorrig has within a very short space of time after joining he is obviously here to promote an agenda. It's the definition of trolling.

You certainly are refusing to accept the possibility that knorrig isn't a troll, thereby yourself fulfilling a definition you so vehemently attempt to ascribe to someone else. That makes you nothing more than, well, in your own words, a Troll.

Thanks alanf85,

"freedom of speech is a one way street"...sums it up PERFECTLY!

I love your tactic of comparing a conservative site with a "mainstream" site, and then saying that because the mainstream one is less conservative, it is liberal.

The sites that the two of you have chosen, knorrig and alanf85, while they may not conform to your world views (to which you are welcome) are very far from liberal.

The same sites that you point to, would be held up by "liberal sites" as evidence of the conservative bias of the media - all of which points the the poster's bias and viewpoint rather than the papers.

Also, I missed the threat - could you spell it out for me??

Question for Nic333

What is the opposite of a 'troll'? I.e. what is the word/term used to describe someone who espouses an 'exteme' left-wing agenda?

I'll go with your 'troll' description Nic333, but maybe...just maybe...I'm a nice troll like Shrek:)....and you are the 'evil' PC Prince who wants to marry the princess (the truth) just for her money.....and not for who she really is;)

Riiiiight. This logic works how? I never stated that the adherence to a point of view is trollish behaviour. What I did say is that the promotion of a view point to the exclusion of all else certainly borders on it.

Anyway knorrigs subsequent display of unwarranted paranoia certainly helps my case.

I've stated my case, you've stated yours. Why don't we just see how this plays out?

There is no opposite of a troll. In the context that I am using it a troll is anyone who attempts to change the tone of a forum by continuously promoting there agenda be it right wing, left wing or anything else.

I am anything but politically correct my trollish friend. I'm just calling a spade a spade. There's nothing PC about that.

Nic333 said,

"I am anything but politically correct my trollish friend."

Apart from the 'troll' insult thingy, I agree with you Nic333.

Another question; what do you call someone who thinks that posting a thread about Paris Hilton's Jimmy Choo shoes, is more important than stimulating a debate about VITAL issues (eg the Freedom of the Press) that we, and the whole civilized world, fight to maintain every single day of our lives?

A 'boring' troll perhaps?:)

 who would have thought you'd say that. Of course they are but you'd never admit it.

It's clever how they use deception and not being open about there idealogical viewpoint. They call themselves moderates or whatever when it is plainly clear by their actions that they have no intention of giving anywhere near fair and balanced reporting.

Yes by the extreme end of the polictical spectrum just like extremists far on the otherside refer to theconservativevoice or FOX as to liberal.

Judging by your posts you "toe the same line" as those propagander tools so of course you wouldn't openly admit they are biased because it's to your advantage that they are perceived as "moderate".

No, a moron :p

(But that also doesn't mean that there's not a time/place/interest in those posts - to each their own)

hi alanf85, welcome back from your holiday, or wherever you've been recently.

You know, that's just the sort of thing an extremist would say. :p

Nic333 was right from the start dudes, I'm a Troll!...albeit an honest one!

Sorry for the lengthy deceptions guys, but I just wanted to check if there were still any sane people left in this country.

My apologies to the people who came to my defense, but at least you showed that you still respect the Freedom of Expression. Salutations !

VIVA the Freedom of Speech!

Bwahahahah

Nick333 actually scored a hit.

:D

So? He was still right, people shouldnt be slaughtering animals in a residential areas...

Short of operating an informal abattoir in a backyard, why should you not be allowed to slaughter an animal there? It is quite easily done hygienically and is certainly no more unhygienic than slaughtering an animal that has been hunted in the bush.
I care very little for the western sensibility that condones the eating of butchered animals only if they come in nice small packages so that we can forget that they were in fact recently living creatures.
Calling someone barbaric for eating an animal that they have killed themselves is hypocritical. Being offended by the bellowing of an animal in its death throws because it puts you off of your afternoon steak braai is hypocritical.
This my problem with this thread, it only serves to portray blacks as savages an barbarians because they don't have the western need to disguise and hide the bloody reality that the eating of meat requires.
As to bizarre rituals, it is no more bizarre than rituals that are preformed every weekend by the major religions. At least this particular ritual has the added bonus of a good beef dinner afterwards. In fact it is a ritual we are all involved in on a massive scale everyday but just don't want to admit to.

I care even less for inhumane and barbaric cultural rituals like slaughtering an animal in a fashion designed to make it "bellow" or muti murders. I think I'm easier to tolerate with my meat packages than a murderous tribesman wanting to prove he's a man.
