Kim Jong Il is dead.

His son needs to man up and merge back with South Korea and end this stupid war that is only entertainment for your real enemy.

You underestimate the power of brainwashing which is ironic given how brainwashed the average South African is into idol worshiping a certain leader. I'd bet it was sincere.
 
Well that's what is hotly debated. Who will succeeded and will there be any belligerance on the North's side
 
They are increasingly isolated, even from China, the people are really in dire need, and the outside world is slowly creeping in and cannot be kept out. Even the regime screened Bend it like Beckham on their state television as an anniversary of formal relations with Britain. That was a huge gesture. There was a willingness there, even when Kim Jung Il was alive. I think his death is an opportunity for a reset of relations which simply did not seem feasible before.

If his son does indeed lead, he would be 27 and would command a nuclear arsenal. Things could get interesting.
