Kodak Inverter

I have just had a Kodak OG5.48 Inverter and Kodak FL-5.2 Li-ion Battery installed.
Installer set Back to grid to 48V but getting low battery warning at 52V. Back to Discharge was set at 53V. I changed the Back to grid to 52V to avoid the alarm but now is hovers between the 52 and 53, changing and discharging. I'd like to have the Batt discharge to around 50% to keep some backup for when loadshedding starts again for us in Durban. Any suggestions?

Is there communication between the battery and inverter?
 
Also received Low Batt alerts on the app a bit earlier today. App was indicating 90 odd %

I have the same battery but the Goodwe inverter. It worked fine for a week or so but after the installer flashed the Goodwe to the latest firmware communication with the battery went all hinky and the system stopped working. He had to roll back to a previous stable version of the firmware. This was about a month back. They have subsequently fixed it and a new version of the firmware is out now apparently but I have yet to try it.
 
This firmware thing is a concern, won't the installers and manufacturers find ways to commercialise it? Like having the inverter no longer working ad needing firmware only the installer or supplier can install?

Charge current a little low there. I would assume that Program 2 is set on 10A and program 11 set to 30A. Battery recommended is 50A. You might have a little bit of trouble with the warranty if you have issues later on. As the cut off is 1V below the recommended. BMS records its all and Pylon is more than happy to void a Warranty because of this. Seen this happen often

Back to Grid needs to be set higher than the cut off Voltage 53V would be the spot. Can you check what program 13 is? If its on 54V then just raise it to 56V and restart the system. This would fix your problem.

How many solar panels do you have and sizes please.

The suppliers are useless when it comes to support. Any ideas?

What is discharging the battery? It sounds like a settings issue.

If u keep the charging option as grid and solar or solar priority, and output source priority as SBU it will do that.

I don't have panels. My output source priority is set to USB and charge source priority is set to utilty and solar.

mine is doing the same, and its irritating the hell out of me because when it does this switching of sources, my LED downlights flicker.
Were you able to find a solution ?

It seems that the inverter is powered from the battery on my side if set to pylon under battery. I've measured that the inverter pulls 0.002kwh from the wall with nothing connected but only the battery. It will then discharge the battery to around 95% and then charge it again. Combined this uses around 0.1kwh. Sometimes more sometimes less. This however shows that the inverter uses the battery to stay on and not utility. So I assume what happens here is that it will charge to 100%, then use battery to power whatever is running through it until it reaches 95% and then charge back up to 100%. Rinse repeat.

If I switch my battery type to user instead of pylon using the same settings as pylon with nothing connected, the discharging and charging stops and the inverter pulls around 0.08kwh and keeps the battery at 100% at all times.

I've emailed the battery supplier directly and one of their technicians told me that pylon batteries do not like to sit at 100% at all times, hence the discharge and charge. How true that that is, I don't know.

I also have Pylontech battries installed at 100% the trickel charge.
Diffrent inverter.
